White walls are safe, and sometimes safe is the problem. This bedroom had no character until the homeowners committed to a rich teal.
What we did
- Walls prepped and primed with a tinted primer so the deep color reached full depth in two coats.
- Teal applied in two coats with clean lines at the ceiling and trim.
- Ceiling and trim kept white to frame the color.
The result
A bedroom that feels enveloping instead of blank. Saturated colors reward good technique: the cut lines and even coverage are what separate a rich finish from a patchy one.
