"I’d a snake come into my house and I was desperate to get a contractor to come over and fix the potential small wall spaces it could crawl through. I called a bunch of people late in the night and left messages but Matt was the only one who responded in the AM. He took my address, checked on his schedule and said that he could come over in about an hour to caulk the spaces. He arrived on time and did a great job (see attached pix). He was also very professional and courteous. "Edgar the painter was lovely - super helpful, courteous, good communicator and went out of his way to help us. He was very considerate (especially of the fact that we brought a newborn home in midst of painting...) We were painting top to bottom of house with a complicated color schedule including a hallway with taping and different paints above and below - he did all that v well. The original team pulled out literally the morning they were due to start, so he stepped into the breach! I do think that due to the combination of circumstances (less time than needed, tight deadlines, one of his team members having a baby too!) He was pushed to get things done - so there were a couple of areas that were rushed. He has been excellent at taking my comments though and has touched up all the areas that I asked him to, and offered to come and do final snagging. Chris was very responsive too. Overall I'd say that perhaps the quality was 4.5 stars but the fact that circumstances were particularly difficult and Edgar so helpful and happy to correct anything that wasn't finished make it a 5. I would definitely recommend using OnDemand, but not being afraid to say if something isn't quite right."

A huge gust of wind (thanks, Chicago) lifted the covering they placed over the bed and a small amount of paint splattered on our duvet cover. The team instantly told me and shared that they had already informed Chris to make it right. "I've worked with a number of bad contractors over the years, and I'm happy to say that 6 Kids was not one of them. We contracted with them to paint our house after a bunch of repairs to our cedar shake siding, and they were able to work with the contractor that did the repairs so that we got powerwashed and painted immediately after the repairs were done and before any woodpeckers or other pests could damage the new wood. Chris the owner was extremely easy to communicate with, often answering emails within minutes, and the project lead of the crew that did the painting also kept us updated each day with the progress and timeline. The best part was not having to check up on his work, as he had great attention to detail and was proactive about scraping and sanding and reapplying paint where it was needed to make our house look its best.
