Heavy yellow patterned wallpaper dated this bathroom by a few decades. The homeowners wanted a clean, modern finish without a remodel.
What we did
- Wallpaper removed and the adhesive residue washed off. Any paste left behind will show through paint as a blotchy sheen, so this step is not optional.
- Walls skim-coated where the paper had damaged the drywall, then sanded smooth and primed.
- Two coats of a warm neutral with the vanity area and trim cut in cleanly.
The result
