This Webster Groves home was heading to market with a strong interior palette: burgundy walls, mauve accents, and dark wainscoting that made every room feel smaller than it was. The sellers wanted buyers to see the bones of the house, not the previous owner’s color choices.
What we did
- Full interior repaint in a single off-white across the entry, staircase, living spaces, dining room, and kitchen, so the rooms read as one continuous space.
- Trim, wainscoting, and ceilings brought to a clean white so the millwork reads as a feature instead of a color block.
- Two coats throughout, with the dark base fully covered. Deep reds and burgundies bleed through a single coat of light paint, so we do not skip the second one.
The result
