Stucco Painting & Repair in Brevard County
Stucco is the dominant exterior in Brevard County. We repair hairline cracks (from settling and thermal expansion), patch damaged sections to match existing texture, and apply elastomeric coatings that flex with temperature swings and seal against Florida rain. This is what we do most weeks of the year.

The majority of Brevard County homes are CBS construction with stucco exterior. Extreme UV, salt air, and daily afternoon thunderstorms put constant stress on stucco surfaces. Elastomeric coatings are standard here. They are the only thing that holds up long-term.
Stucco is a great exterior finish, but it needs attention. Cracks form. Moisture gets in. The color fades under sun and rain. If you ignore it long enough, small problems turn into big ones.
We handle stucco painting and repair together because you cannot just paint over a cracked stucco wall and expect it to hold up. The paint will peel. The crack will come back wider. The moisture underneath will keep doing damage. We fix it first, then paint it.
Inspection and crack repair
Our process starts with a full inspection of the stucco surface. We look for hairline cracks, spider cracks, stucco separation, and soft spots that indicate moisture damage underneath. We check around windows, doors, and rooflines where water tends to collect.
For cracks, we clean them out and fill them with a flexible patching compound that moves with the wall. Stucco expands and contracts with temperature changes, so a rigid filler will just crack again. We match the existing texture. Whether that is smooth, sand finish, dash, or lace. So the repair blends in and disappears under the new paint.
Patching larger damage
Larger damage gets cut out and repatched with fresh stucco applied in layers. We build it back to match the surrounding wall thickness and texture. This kind of repair takes a day or two to cure before painting.
Cleaning the surface
Before we paint, we clean the entire surface. Stucco collects dirt, mildew, and mineral deposits that prevent paint from bonding. We use low-pressure washing to clean without blasting the texture off the wall. The surface needs to be completely dry before we apply any coating.
Why elastomeric coatings
For the paint itself, we use elastomeric coatings on most stucco jobs. Elastomeric paint is thicker than standard exterior paint. It stretches and contracts with the stucco, which prevents cracking in the paint film. It also creates a waterproof barrier that keeps moisture out while letting the wall breathe. That breathability matters. Trapped moisture inside stucco causes blistering and spalling.
We apply a masonry primer first, then two coats of elastomeric finish. We spray it on for even coverage and back-roll to work the paint into the stucco texture. This method gives you full coverage without thick buildup in the crevices.
Color and UV resistance
Color matching is straightforward. We can match any existing color or help you pick something new. Stucco takes color well, and elastomeric coatings come in a full range of tones. We also offer standard acrylic masonry paints for surfaces that are in good condition and do not need the extra flexibility of elastomeric.
UV resistance matters for stucco, especially on south- and west-facing walls that take direct sun all day. The coatings we use are formulated to resist fading, so the color holds for years instead of bleaching out in two summers.
Project timeline
A typical stucco painting job on an average home takes three to five days including prep and repair. We protect landscaping, walkways, and windows during the work. When we are done, you have a sealed, repainted surface that looks sharp and keeps water where it belongs. On the outside.

Stucco Painting & Repair questions
What is elastomeric paint and why use it on stucco? expand_more
Elastomeric paint is a thick, flexible coating designed for masonry surfaces. It stretches up to 300 percent without cracking, which is important because stucco expands and contracts with temperature changes. It also creates a waterproof seal while still letting moisture vapor escape from inside the wall. Standard paint cannot do that.
How often does stucco need to be repainted? expand_more
With quality elastomeric paint and proper prep, a stucco exterior will hold its color and seal for seven to ten years. Homes in areas with extreme sun, salt air, or heavy rain may need recoating sooner. Regular inspection helps catch small cracks before they become expensive repairs.
Can you repair stucco cracks without repainting the whole wall? expand_more
Yes, for small isolated cracks we can patch and spot-paint. But if the wall has widespread cracking or fading, a full repaint makes more sense. Spot repairs on a faded wall will show as mismatched patches. We will give you an honest recommendation based on what we see.
Do you work on both traditional stucco and EIFS? expand_more
We work on traditional hard-coat stucco (cement-based). EIFS. The synthetic foam-backed system. Has different repair requirements. If your home has EIFS, we will let you know during the estimate and recommend the right approach.
Stucco Painting & Repair for Brevard County homes
Brevard County housing is built for the climate. Concrete block and stucco (CBS) construction dominates — from 1960s Space Race-era homes on Merritt Island and Cocoa Beach, to 1990s tract homes in Palm Bay, to newer Coastal Modern builds in Viera and Suntree. We've painted every era of it.
Florida's sun and salt air are tough on paint. In coastal Brevard, exterior paint typically lasts 3-5 years versus 7-10 in northern markets. We use UV-resistant moisture-barrier coatings, elastomeric paints on stucco so walls can flex without cracking, and schedule major exterior work for March-May or October-November when humidity and storm risk drop. Mornings only in summer — afternoon thunderstorms are reliable enough to plan around.
Where we work
We serve the entire Space Coast — from Titusville and Cape Canaveral north of the Banana River, through Merritt Island, Cocoa Beach, and Rockledge, down to Melbourne, Palm Bay, Indialantic, and Satellite Beach.
